GENERAL INFORMATION

The tour Cusco – Machupicchu – Puno is a package of 6 Days and 5 Nights. On this tour, you will not only get to know the beautiful city of Cusco, their complex archeological sites, Machupicchu Sanctuary but also you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful cities in Peru; Puno and its picturesque floating Islands. The culture, the people and its traditions is something else that you will experience in this tour. This package is amazing because you get to know these magical cities in the south of Peru. LIVE THE EXPERIENCE

ITINERARY

1 Day

  • Pickup from the Airport in the morning and transfer to your hotel
  • After lunch we will pick you up and transfer to the location from where the tour will begin.
  • The first touristic attraction to visit is the Koricancha or “Temple of the Sun”.
  • We will take the touristic bus and visit the 4 archeological complexes near the city of Cusco: Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
  • Return to the city of Cusco at around 19:00.

2 Day

  • Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the location where our tour will begin.
  • Visit all the Sacred Valley of the Incas in a touristic bus.
  • The first stop is the Craft Market of Pisaq, after that we will visit the archeological complex of Pisaq.
  • The next stop is the town of Urubamba. Here we will have a Buffett lunch in a tourist restaurant.h5>
  • We will continue the tour and arrive at Ollantaytambo where we will have a guided tour.
  • After the guided tour, we will head to the train station where we will take the touristic train to the town of Aguas Calientes.
  • Pick up and transfer to a 3 star hotel. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

3 Day

  • In the morning the passengers will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
  • Guided visit in a group to all the important sites in Machu Picchu with enough time to take pictures.
  • The passengers will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes where they can have lunch (Lunch is not included).
  • The passengers will take the train from Aguas Calientes back to the town of Ollantaytambo.
  • Pick up from the Ollantaytambo train station in a touristic bus.
  • Return from Ollantaytambo to the city of Cusco. Arrival to Regocijo square or San Francisco square.

4 Day

  • Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the bus which will drive us to the city of Puno.
  • During this trip, we will visit different important sites. The first one is the “San Pedro” Church which is located in the town of Andahuaylillas and was built in the 17th century.
  • Next stop is the town of Raqchi. Here we will visit the local archeological constructions like the “Wiracocha Temple”
  • We will have a buffett lunch upon arrival to the town of Sicuani. After lunch, we will cross the border between Cusco and Puno. This location is called “La Raya.”
  • Last stop for the day is the town of “Pukara” known for their ceramic and Monoliths.
  • Arrival to the town of Puno at around 17:30.

5 Day

  • Passengers pick up from the hotel, we head to the main harbor in Puno.
  • Here we will take a boat to visit the Floating Islands.
  • The first island that we visit is the “Uros” island where we will learn about the local’s main activities.
  • We continue our trip until we arrive in the second island; “Taquile” island. On this island, we will learn about knitting and weaving from the locals. A basic lunch will also be prepared by the inhabitants of this island.
  • Once the tour is finished, we will return to the pier at approximately 17:00
  • Return to the hotel to get our belongings and head to the bus station.
  • We get on the bus and return to the city of Cusco. We will drive all night.

6 Day

  • We arrive to Cusco at approximately 6:30 a.m.
  • Pickup from the bus station and transfer to the airport in Cusco for their flight to Lima, once you arrive to Lima, you can board your international flight.

Make your reservation in advance and thus we will obtain the best train schedules

Lima – Capital city of Peru.

Lima is located on the central coast of the country. The city is on the shores of the pacific ocean and has an estimated 8, 5 million inhabitants. On January the 18th 1535, the city was founded and was given the name of ”King´s city”. Nowadays, the city is the political, financial, and cultural center of the country. Lima is the third most populous city in Hispanic America and also ranks fifth in the most populous cities in South America.

Cusco – Capital city of the Inca Empire.

Cusco o “Qosqo” which in Quechua means ”Navel of the world”, is a city located in the southeast part of the country and also situated in the eastern part of the Andes mountain chain. Cusco is known as the ”Historic capital of the country”. This is because it was the capital of the Inca Empire. The city boasts several churches, palaces, and squares in baroque and neoclassical styles. All these attractions make Cusco the main touristic attraction in Peru. UNESCO has declared Cusco as a ”World Heritage Site” in 1983.
