GENERAL INFORMATION

The “Inca Trail “tour is one that takes the same route as the one that the Incas used to have during the Inca Empire. The Quechua name for this road is “Qapaq Ñan” which means “The King’s or Inca’s road”. This network of roads used to cover enormous distances within the Inca Empire, the network linked the most important cities in the coast and the Highlands reaching an extension of approximately 30,000 kilometers, and all of these roads lead to Cusco which was the capital city of the Inca Empire, also called Tahuantinsuyo. Nowadays, the famous Inca Trail Machupicchu tour is one that links the city of Cusco with the Archeological Sanctuary of Machupicchu. The amount of road that we will cover in this trekking, represents only a tiny fraction of this vast network. The trekking is available to all the visitors worldwide who are willing to embark on this adventure.
