GENERAL INFORMATION

The tour of the seven colors Mountain or also known in English as “The Rainbow Mountain”. Is a geological jewel and is becoming more popular with the visitors in these last months. The terrain is astonishing and is located in the province of Cusco. We know that there are many Mountains, and amazing Hills, However once you head to the Ausangate Mountain, you will discover a wide variety of colors which makes it unique. This is the only area in this province that counts with such amazing mountains.

ITINERARY

What will you do?

  • Pickup from the hotel (Historical Center) very early in the morning.
  • The tour heads southward towards Checacupe, we continue the trip until we arrive to the town of Cusipata.
  • Once in Cusipata, we will have a light breakfast and then we will prepare for the approx. 2 hours trekking.
  • Arrival to the “Vinicunca” mountain which is located at 5200 meters above sea level. There will be enough time to take pictures and enjoy the amazing landscape surrounded by the Apus: Sarinini, Vinicunca, Ausangate, and Sivinacocha.
  • Return downhill until we arrive to the town of Cusipata.
  • Buffett lunch at the aforementioned town.
  • Return to the city of Cusco; estimated arrival at 17:00

Lima – Capital city of Peru.

Lima is located on the central coast of the country. The city is on the shores of the pacific ocean and has an estimated 8, 5 million inhabitants. On January the 18th 1535, the city was founded and was given the name of ”King´s city”. Nowadays, the city is the political, financial, and cultural center of the country. Lima is the third most populous city in Hispanic America and also ranks fifth in the most populous cities in South America.

Cusco – Capital city of the Inca Empire.

Cusco o “Qosqo” which in Quechua means ”Navel of the world”, is a city located in the southeast part of the country and also situated in the eastern part of the Andes mountain chain. Cusco is known as the ”Historic capital of the country”. This is because it was the capital of the Inca Empire. The city boasts several churches, palaces, and squares in baroque and neoclassical styles. All these attractions make Cusco the main touristic attraction in Peru. UNESCO has declared Cusco as a ”World Heritage Site” in 1983.
