GENERAL INFORMATION

This tour is the best option to visit the “Lost City of the Incas” which is a masterpiece of Inca Architecture, surrounded by lush vegetation. This archeological Sanctuary is located in an area of about 5 km2 situated on the mountains of Cusco’s Jungle. The purpose of the citadel was to serve as a military, religious and administrative location following the Inca´s architectural blueprint; many agricultural terraces, irrigation systems, local plants, aqueducts for the citadel’s water supply. There are around 200 hundred buildings that serve as housing, squares, temples, storage and astronomical observatories.

ITINERARY

1 Day

  • Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the location where our tour will begin
  • Visit all the Sacred Valley of the Incas in a touristic bus.
  • The first stop is the Craft Market of Pisaq, after that we will visit the archeological complex of Pisaq.
  • The next stop is the town of Urubamba. Here we will have a Buffett lunch in a tourist restaurant.
  • We will continue the tour and arrive at Ollantaytambo where we will have a guided tour.
  • Finally, we will visit the archeological complex of Chinchero. Once the tour is over, we will head back to Cusco and arrive here at around 19:00.

2 Day

  • Very early in the morning pickup from the hotel will take place and bus ride to the train station in Ollantaytambo
  • In Ollantaytambo we will take the train to Aguas Calientes.
  • Once we arrive to Aguas Calientes, the bus will take you to the sanctuary of Machupicchu.
  • Guided visit in a group to all the important sites in Machu Picchu with enough time to take pictures.
  • The passengers will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes where they can have lunch (Lunch is not included).
  • The passengers will take the train from Aguas Calientes back to the town of Ollantaytambo.
  • Pick up from the Ollantaytambo train station in a touristic bus.
  • Return from Ollantaytambo to the city of Cusco. Arrival to Regocijo square or San Francisco square.

Lima – Capital city of Peru.

Lima is located on the central coast of the country. The city is on the shores of the pacific ocean and has an estimated 8, 5 million inhabitants. On January the 18th 1535, the city was founded and was given the name of ”King´s city”. Nowadays, the city is the political, financial, and cultural center of the country. Lima is the third most populous city in Hispanic America and also ranks fifth in the most populous cities in South America.

Cusco – Capital city of the Inca Empire.

Cusco o “Qosqo” which in Quechua means ”Navel of the world”, is a city located in the southeast part of the country and also situated in the eastern part of the Andes mountain chain. Cusco is known as the ”Historic capital of the country”. This is because it was the capital of the Inca Empire. The city boasts several churches, palaces, and squares in baroque and neoclassical styles. All these attractions make Cusco the main touristic attraction in Peru. UNESCO has declared Cusco as a ”World Heritage Site” in 1983.
